Best wishes for Christmas

Greetings Clean Team Members

Over the past twelve months Middlewich Clean Team has worked tirelessly on behalf of our town.

We have welcomed new members and their commitment in attending organised litter picks, making sure that their own area is cared for is amazing.

The membership is in the region of two hundred and it is quite staggering that our desire to make a difference to our town is still as keenly felt as it was in our first faltering steps almost fourteen years ago.

So on that very postive note , i would like to wish you a very 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' and best wishes for 2017.

From myself & my fellow ' Clean Team Committee'

Last 2016 Litter Pick

Twelve of us Litter picked yesterday, we have left the bags for collection by ANSA in the usual spots.

Unfortunately some really irresponsible dog walkers are using the area opposite Wardle Cottage as a toilet facility for their dogs and not clearing up after them. I counted forty dumps of dog poo. If it could be arranged for the Warden to visit the area that might help.

We did have a lovely afternoon and the Kings Lock provided us with hot drinks on our return.

Many Thanks

Litter Pick And Shop Keeper Initiative

Ten people attended the litter pick. The weather was kind and we started the shop keeper initiative. We have already signed quite a number of premises up and I am sure that Stephen will forward the list onto committee members shortly. Everyone who we spoke to were very positive.

It was so encouraging after. The bins along Southway have been removed to the rear and the difference is a amazing. Darren cleared all the leaves from the area, it now looks cared for and clean.

I am quite cheery about what has been achieved.

Many thanks

Janet
