A few weeks ago there was a meeting of Cheshire East clean teams at the Ansa waste transfer site. It was a chance to bounce a few ideas around. We heard that Crewe clean team have been recycling on their litter picks for a while now so we thought we would give it a go.
It was very successful!
Recyclable items need to go in clear bags provided to us by Ansa so that they can go in the correct area when taken to the waste transfer site on Cledford Lane. They then get taken to the materials recovery facility at UPM Shotton on Deeside to be sorted.

We collected 17 green bags of mixed waste and 9 bags of recyclable materials. Not bad for our first attempt! 💚💪😆
